Thirty-five years later: two academies in South Florida, a digital training system used by students across the world, and a sports travel operation in Rio I've been running since 2003.
Before that: special projects for UFC, FIFA, FILA, Barcelona FC, and the Brazilian Olympic Committee. All of it came from the same place.
I stepped onto a mat in Rio at age 7.
I never really stepped off.
